CAREER COACHING

Career Coaching is a relatively new discipline in Ireland. The focus is on helping the client find the ideal career solutions for them and jobs that they will enjoy, through a series of self-assessment exercises and particular questioning rather than concentrating on academic results or experience.

The client is the driving force of the arrangement and he or she decides what issues or areas to concentrate on. This can be quite a personal agenda and will mean different things to different people.

Examples of where people use a Career Coach are:

  • Preparing for an interview
  • Planning career progression
  • Acquiring new skills for work e.g. time management and assertiveness
  • Developing a strategic career plan
  • Preparing for an appraisal discussion
  • Improving inter-personal relations at work
  • Writing CVs
  • Discovering the ideal career for your personality type
  • Implementing a Job-search plan

CAREER WORKSHOPS:

We provide a range of one-day workshops for people who want to take control of their career and life. Our workshops are designed for people who are:

  • Recently unemployed,
  • Considering a career change,
  • Returning to the workplace after an absence
  • Entering the workplace for the first time.

  • Workshops will be run in Co. Kerry, Co. Limerick and Co. Cork.
  • Workshops require a minimum of 5 participants to run, and there is a maximum of 10 participants per workshop.
  • All workshops cost €195, payable in advance.

OUTPLACEMENT SERVICES

For Employers facing staff layoffs:

  • 1 day or 2 day Outplacement Programme
    By providing an outplacement programme for the staff you are letting go, you give them practical help and advice for the months ahead. These programmes work by preparing people for transition in their careers and helping them learn how to thrive in their new circumstances. The courses include practical tips and advice on CV writing and interview preparation.
